Thank you for visiting my website; I hope you are finding it useful. The fact that you are taking the time to read this tells me that you like to know something about the people you are dealing with.
I’m the same way.
I believe that success in life is defined by the quality of the relationships you enjoy, and that an abundance of quality long-term relationships leads to a happy life and an outstanding reputation. You’ll notice that I used the phrase “long-term”.
Think about that for a moment…
Great relationships and reputations take years to develop, and just seconds to destroy. If you understand this, you will understand my business philosophy.
Prior to entering the real estate field, I was a technology entrepreneur; hence my choosing to brand myself as a “Tech Smart Agent“. In today’s competitive economy, understanding how to fully leverage the technology in the field of real estate makes the difference between success and failure. In the “old” days, buyers and sellers were entirely dependent on their real estate agent for information. Those days are over. To be successful today, an agent needs to understand how to use social networks, the Internet, target online advertising, and technology in general. Because of my background and interest in technology, relative the 99% of Realtors, I am uniquely equipped for this challenge.
In 2001, I began pursuing my dream of becoming an entrepreneur and founded a technology company (www.dyrandsystems.com), which I sold in the fall of 2008. Dyrand’s business was sort of like property management; only we managed computers and software applications instead of real estate.
In 2006 & 2007, Dyrand was recognized by PROFIT magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the country. I was fortunate enough to also have been named by Business in Vancouver as one of the Top 40 under 40 in 2007. I am exceedingly proud of these accomplishments, however, it goes without saying that I could have not achieved either award without the support of my staff. They were the ones that deserve all the credit.
In working with my team at Kalomar (its a very small team made up of myself, some financial partners, and a few licensed contractors), you can expect that we’ll do exactly what we say we are going to do. You can expect it to be done by the time we promise. And you can expect a level of professionalism that is worthy of mention to your friends and colleagues.
In short, you can expect the behavior necessary to ensure the formation of great long-term relationships, because that is what leads to a happy life. I don’t know about you, but I cannot imagine being successful without the companionship of those that I enjoy. What fun would that be?
